ye olde OOC post

Tell me something about Roland (or Ted Brautigan, or Gwion) that I don't know.

Roland is Anthy's mother.

(For the record this one isn't original to me.)

When Roland was very young, he was afraid of the dark. No one, including Cuthbert and Alain, ever found out about this, because Roland decided it was a stupid fear to have, and made himself lie awake at night, staring up into the dark, until he mastered it.

...I had a similar one.

When Roland was very young, a chambermaid told him there were monsters under the bed that would grab him by the feet and drag him under. He passed three sleepless nights before he built a crude box trap and never thought of it again.

One night, in the early days of arriving at Milliways, Roland dreamed that he was Cort and woke up smiling.

When they came to Calla Bryn Sturgis, Roland had already been secretly trying to find an excuse to dance the Commala for months, just to see the looks on their faces.

Gwion was present and attending at Bran's birth. There was a song that he played to distract Guinevere from her pain. Bran doesn't know that he remembers that song, but if Gwion should happen to play it, Bran's mind will fill with images of alder trees and the tactile memory of a woman's arms.

On each of the first seven nights that Gwion spent in the castle outside Time, he dreamt of his last few moments before drowning, and each time he awoke in a cold sweat, gasping for air. On the eighth night, though, he did not dream of drowning, and the dream has not returned since.

...oh, man.

We need to work with this. Somehow. Because...yes.

Also, I will be around every night next week due to other plotstuffs, and so whenever's good for you to work on the thingy... *beams*

(And of course, things would conspire against us, for I have company coming all next week and will likely as not be away from my computer for most of it. But things may work out, somehow. We shall see.)
